Occasionally I See Magic.

I usually have this face on after a full 24 hours home with the kids.

I watched the movie The Backup Plan last night... (only recommended if you like gagging) and there was an awesome line...

The question was asked: "what's so good about being a parent"...

The reply was: "it's awful, awful, awful, awful...then magic happens... then awful, awful, awful."

This made the time spent sucking my brains out my ears somewhat worth it because there are days and weeks that it can feel that way.

Now I have no issue with being very transparent with my feelings about being a stay-at-home mom. Most of the time they are cynical mixed with humour and tears (whether happy or sad).

Then a day like yesterday happens.

The Kiddos giggled and played nicely.

I was rested.

The sun was shining and the temperature felt more like April than November.

I could see the richness of my life.

Days like that make all the awful, awful, awful, awful, awful fade away into magic. Pure magic.
